A gender-flipped modern retelling of A Riddling Tale from Grimm’s Fairy Tales
A curse fell upon three guys who were changed into flowers which grew in the field. But one of them was allowed to stay in his own home at night. During the daytime he had to go back to his companions in the field and become a flower again. He said to his wife one night, “If you could come gather me during the day, I will be set free from my curse.” And she did so. Now the question is, how could his wife tell him apart from all the other flowers? Answer: as he was at his home during the night and not in the field, no dew fell on him as it did on the others. By this, his wife could tell him apart.
